Audio Woodworking on YouTube

Audio Woodworking on YouTube

Its an unfortunate reality of my busy life that I produce more video than I consume (and no, I dont produce much). Its also true that I spend a lot of time in my car (I drive a about 30,000 mile per year in the metro NYC area).

As you may have guessed, I listen to a lot of podcasts. While the video podcasting world of woodworking seems to grow daily, Im proud that our Modern Woodworkers Association podcast continues to be a (mostly) regularly released audio podcast. While the video woodworking podcasts are great and demonstrate techniques better than we could, everyone has some time when their driving or doing chores or doing some other task where you cant watch but if you do listen the task is transformed. For those of you who read this blog, I hope our podcast makes those times go must faster.

Along these lines, I know that +YouTube is where a great many people get their audio.

As a trial, weve released the latest episode of the +Modern Woodworkers Association audio podcast on YouTube. Its not much to look at, but hopefully it allows more listeners to enjoy the podcast. We will continue to to this for the next few episodes, and if there are viewers (listeners) who like this format, well keep it up.

In order to make it easier for viewers (listeners), Ive created a playlist for the MWA Podcasts on YouTube. It includes the latest audio only podcast with +Zac Higgins and all of the earlier episodes we recorded with video (including the recent episode with Ellens Design Challenge participant Carley Eisenberg. You can see the entire playlist here.

Please let me know what you think of this format and let me know in the comments.

Dont forget about the +Modern Woodworkers Association Audio Podcast. We talk woodworking with Guests from around the world of woodworking every other week. Subscribe traditionally via the RSS feed or iTunes today.
